Lincoln Park

The Neighborhood

With its historic landmark districts, brick row houses, and tree-lined streets, Lincoln Park is as charming as Chicago gets. Sitting along Lake Michigan, this leafy North Side neighborhood is home to restaurants, boutique shops, cafes, and live music clubs, where young professionals mix with the hip college crowd from nearby DePaul University. During the day, the neighborhood’s sprawling namesake park—with its gardens, paths, museums, and beaches—provides a welcome respite from the hustle-bustle of the big city.

Known as one of Chicago's most esteemed neighborhoods, there's plenty to offer within walking distance. Head to Lou Malnati's Pizzeria for a delicious deep-dish pizza with one of their signature crusts. Or for a classic Greek cuisine, try the Athenian Room. For shopping, check out The Shops at North Bridge shopping mall. You're also close to an array of music venues. Check out B.L.U.E.S. (aptly named for a music genre the city is famed for), and keep with the theme with a trip to Denim & Soul for some blue, blue jeans. To explore the rest of the city, grab the subway at the Diversey stop just a few blocks away.
