Lincoln Park

The Neighborhood

With its historic landmark districts, brick row houses, and tree-lined streets, Lincoln Park is as charming as Chicago gets. Sitting along Lake Michigan, this leafy North Side neighborhood is home to restaurants, boutique shops, cafes, and live music clubs, where young professionals mix with the hip college crowd from nearby DePaul University. During the day, the neighborhood’s sprawling namesake park—with its gardens, paths, museums, and beaches—provides a welcome respite from the hustle-bustle of the big city.

There's plenty to offer within walking distance. This lakeside neighborhood bursts with the local culture. Spend the day at the Lincoln Park Conservatory or browsing for vinyl at Dave's Records. For dinner, don't miss the farm-to-table foodie-destination, North Pond, nestled at the heart of the park itself. There are no shortage of blues clubs for the musically-inclined, or laugh it up at Lincoln Park's famed improv comedy club, The Second City. To explore the rest of the city, head to the Fullerton subway station, which connects you to the Brown, Purple, and Red lines.
