Downtown Montreal

The Neighborhood

Downtown Montreal is the center of Canada's Francophone business community. Bustling with activity, the neighbourhood is full of restaurants, shopping, and is within walking distance of Montreal’s historic old port and Mount Royal. Downtown Montreal is also home to the city’s universities and museums, and you can catch a concert or a hockey match at the Bell Centre.

Downtown Montreal is the central business district, with decades of commercial structures sharing space with one another along the city's arterial thoroughfares. Don't miss the nearby Fine Arts, McCord, and Redpath museums, along with the historic McGill campus, Montreal's “Underground City” commercial area, and an array of fine dining options along Sherbrooke Street.
