Financial District

The Neighborhood

In Lower Manhattan, the Financial District is one of New York City's most recognizable neighborhoods. Home to Wall Street and stunning high-rises, the city has seen some of the country's greatest accomplishments, although it's not all business. FiDi's residential life has grown rapidly, and there's plenty to explore in this bustling and historic area.

There are endless options within walking distance. Check out Fraunces Tavern, a blended museum-restraurant-bar guaranteed to take your dining experience into the past. For a true Financial District night out, head to Trinity Place for a meal inside a converted bank vault, then stop for a nightcap at The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog, frequently named one of the best bars in the world. Enjoy shopping at the South Street Seaport, take a stroll through Battery Park, and marvel at the World Trade Center Oculus and 9/11 Memorial.
