Villa Borghese

The Neighborhood

Just a short stroll north of the Spanish Steps, life moves at a delightfully slower pace. Surrounded by elegant residential districts and leafy streets, the Villa Borghese is home to nearly two-hundred acres of manicured gardens, wooded glades, and boating lakes—not to mention some of the city’s best museums, including the Galleria Borghese, which holds one of world’s finest collections of Roman sculptures, old masters, and modern art. Despite the green spaces and gardens, this central Rome neighborhood isn’t just about statues, fountains, and temples—high-end boutiques and restaurants line Via Veneto, where locals and visitors rub elbows in the sidewalk cafes.

There's plenty to offer within walking distance. Try out Il Viaggio or Galbi Restaurant for some of Rome's best dining. For shopping, there are shops surrounding Piazza Alessandria. To explore the rest of the city, hop on the bus at Corso d'Italia.
