Pearl District

The Neighborhood

As quickly as bluebonnets populate the fields of Texas, new restaurants, shops, and attractions are springing up in San Antonio’s Pearl District. Known to locals as The Pearl, this historic brewery and its surrounding neighborhood has been revived in recent years and is now a thriving cultural and culinary center. Southerleigh proudly brought back locally-brewed draft beer along with Gulf Coast seafood and southern cuisine that will keep you long past happy hour. The indecisive eater will love the Bottling Department Food Hall with its many choices, or opt for adventure with Botika’s Peruvian-Asian fusion. Your sweet tooth can be easily sated with Bakery Lorraine’s classic French pastries or Lick’s dreamy ice cream. If you’re craving some retail therapy, the Tiny Finch’s curated home goods and gifts or Dos Carolinas’ custom guayaberas make the perfect souvenirs. A family-friendly farmers’ market on Saturday and Sunday mornings features products from within 150 miles of San Antonio along with live music, food, and drink. The Broadway Corridor is home to some of San Antonio’s most unique attractions - the lush Botanical Gardens, the McNay’s astounding art collection, and the DoSeum for the young (or young at heart!) are just a few of the many reasons to spend your days exploring this vibrant part of San Antonio!

There’s plenty to offer within walking distance. Try Down On Grayson for delicious American fare or enjoy a drink in the historic cellar, Sternewirth, for some of San Antonio's best dining. For shopping, check out Pearl Brewery or the Shops at Rivercenter. Take the bus to explore the rest of the city.
