The State

Little Italy, San Diego

Tired of California dreaming and ready to experience the real thing? We get it. That’s why The State is one of our favorite hideaways in San Diego. To the left waits the bay, with fresh seafood and waterfront sunsets. To the right, Balboa Park beckons with everything from green spaces and golf courses to museums and the famed San Diego Zoo. And in the center of it all, right outside your door, Little Italy is laid out with more restaurants (both high-end and family-owned), Italian markets, art galleries, boutiques, and patioed pubs than you could ever hope to see in one trip. Even if you need a second (or third!) visit to take it all in, The State has you covered with contemporary design, comfortable spaces, and thoughtful touches, all tucked into a quiet-feeling neighborhood that’s just minutes from all the action.
