How do I complete pre-arrival verification if I booked with Marriott?

The pre-arrival verification process will take about 5 minutes to complete depending on local regulations and requirements. We recommend you use a mobile device to complete the pre-arrival verification, but you can also utilize a computer if that works best for you. To ensure you receive your access details prior to your arrival on your check-in day, please complete this process as soon as you’ve booked your stay with Sonder. 

 

  1. Navigate to the ‘Action Required: The next step for your reservation with Sonder’ email:
    Select the ‘Complete verification now’ link within the body of the email you received from [email protected]. A new tab will open in your internet browser.

  2. Find your reservation:
    Review the reservation information on the ‘Find your reservation’ page, and select ‘Continue.’

  3. Review the pre-arrival verification dashboard:
    You will be directed to the pre-arrival verification dashboard, where you'll see the verification steps you need to complete based on local regulations. Normally, this includes the following steps.

  4. Verify your information:
    When prompted, enter your birthdate and phone number, and select ‘Continue.’

  5. Verify your phone number:
    You will receive a verification code via SMS to the phone number associated with your reservation. Enter the 4-digit verification code into the provided textbox.

  6. Verify your identity, if prompted:
    You may be asked to upload images or enter the information of all guests’ IDs and personal information to be compliant with local regulations; however, most guests will be required to scan an ID and take a few selfies using Persona, a trusted third-party verification provider (for more information, please review the Sonder Biometric Data Privacy Notice).

    Begin by selecting the country that issued your ID and the type of ID you’re using. When prompted, allow camera access to the browser you are using. Scan the front and back of your ID or the entirety of your passport portrait page. Once complete, follow the prompts to capture an image of your face - position yourself in the center of the camera and then move your face left and right as instructed by the app.

    that if you booked multiple Sonders, you will complete pre-arrival verification for each space.

  7. Be on the lookout for further information and/or your access instructions:
    If we need more information, we’ll reach out via email detailing the next steps. As soon as you complete the pre-arrival verification, and we have reviewed your necessary information, we will promptly send you an email with detailed information about your reservation.

    Access details will be sent via email 24 hours before your arrival. Click on the ‘View access details’ link within the body of the email you received from [email protected], and then log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account or look up your reservation to view your access codes.

    Please note that if you booked multiple Sonders, you will receive access instructions for each space.

You can find your confirmation code in your confirmation email, on the site you used to book, and in your Sonder app.

 

Who in my travel party needs to complete the pre-arrival verification process?
The person whose name is on the reservation will need to complete the pre-arrival verification process.
